Jill Batty has lived in Islington since 1972 when she joined the Tower Theatre; her first part
was Clara Eynsford-Hill in Pygmalion. Since then she has played a huge variety of roles ranging from Portia and Rosalind,
through Lady Bracknell and Madame Arkadina to Annie in Misery and Meg in The Birthday Party. A qualified massage
practitioner, she now only works occasionally to keep her hand in. A line from this play probably sums her up best: "a well-preserved
old warhorse!"

Lucy Danser has been a member of the Tower Theatre since the age of 13 when she watched the wonderful Helen Dudley in the
Tower's production of Mack and Mabel, and decided the same day to audition for The Wizard of Oz. Since then, she has
performed in a variety of Tower shows including Anne in The Diary of Anne Frank, Anna van Gogh in Vincent in Brixton,
Adele Varens/Helen Burns in Jane Eyre and Duffy in Annie. She's recently graduated from a MDram degree at the
University of Kent (and the University of Indiana), and is currently running a live comedy company in Kent.

Deepa Sutherland joined the Tower Theatre in 2009. Her previous roles have been Bride in Blood Wedding,
Rose in The Sea and, most recently, Isobel in Princess Ivona. Her training includes a stint at Stella Adler in
Los Angeles and RADA’s Acting Shakespeare programme, where she played Fluellen in Henry V. She can also be seen in the
DVD How to Audition by director Peter Oyston, performing as Goneril from King Lear.

Howie Ripley is a veteran of the independent theatre scene; he studied English and Drama in the UK and
acting for the camera in California. His previous roles include Gregor Samsa in Metamorphosis; Vicomte de Valmont in Les
Liaisons Dangereuses; Dan in Closer, and Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night. Last year marked Howie's debut for
the Tower Theatre in The Trial. He has just recorded his first radio play and is currently directing Are You Lonesome
Tonight for NoLogoProductions.

Nigel Martin joined the Tower in 1970 and has enjoyed playing major roles in such diverse shows as A Man for All Seasons, Abelard and Heloise,
Lock Up your Daughters and Six Degrees of Separation. Directing stints include The Gingerbread Lady, The Elephant Man,
The Normal Heart, Conduct Unbecoming and Dangerous Corner. In costume design, he lists his favourites as The Tempest
and Annie. He was Artistic Director for the Tower from 2006 - 2009. Nigel enjoys film costume work as his main employment

Peta Barker joined the Tower Theatre in 1985 and was first seen as a Munchkin in The Wizard of Oz.
He has since appeared in over 50 shows as an actor and/or musician. These include Shining City (John), The Weir (Jack), Billy Liar (Geoffrey Fisher), Dealer’s Choice (Ash), Woza Albert, Valmouth (Mrs Yajnavalkya), The Tempest (Caliban) and the voice of the plant in The Little Shop of Horrors.
He has appeared most recently in Lark Rise and Sordid Lives.
Peta’s directing credits include Blue Remembered Hills, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Brimstone and Treacle, Lysistrata and The Lieutenant of Inishmore.

Martin Mulgrew joined the Tower Theatre in 2004 appearing in Accidental Death of An Anarchist. Since then he has performed in numerous shows including Humble Boy (Felix), Look Back In Anger (Cliff), and The Tempest (Caliban). He first directed for the Tower in 2005 directing Billy Liar at the Gatehouse Theatre. His other directing credits include Hamlet (2009), The Crucible (2008), and Measure for Measure (2007). Martin trained at the Poor School. Anyone interested in involving Martin in a musical should note that he cannot sing or dance.
