Ian Recordon has played a wide variety of roles ranging from Valmont (Les Liaisons Dangereuses), Eddie Carbone (View from the Bridge), Sir (The Dresser), Ralph Nickelby and Newman Noggs (Nicholas Nickelby) and C. S. Lewis (Shadowlands) to lighter roles such as Elyiot (Private Lives), Henry Higgins (Pygmalion), Gary Essendine (Present Laughter), Malvolio (Twelfth Night), Bottom (A Midsummer Night's Dream) and Geoffrey (Stepping Out).

Anne Connell has been with the Tower Theatre since 1995, when she played Kate in Dancing at Lughnasa. Since then she has acted, assistant directed, ASM-ed, lighted, committee-ed and box-officed. Her last major involvement was as the co-author, with Penny Tuerk, of Curiouser and Curiouser, an adaptation of both of Lewis Carroll’s Alice books, which played at Theatro Technis and at the Minack.  Princess Ivona is Anne’s return to an active part in the company since taking four years off to study for a degree.

This is Andy Barrett's second appearance with the Tower Theatre, having played John in The Misanthrope in 2009. 2011 has been a busy year so far - he played a priest last month in Murder in the Cathedral with Chelsea Players, a part he also did in Network Theatre’s production in 2005. Other favourites include Robert Walpole in Art of Success with Putney Arts, Borachio in Much Ado About Nothing with SEDOS, Raymond in The Kitchen and Felix Humble in Humble Boy (both also with Network Theatre).

Deepa Sutherland joined the Tower in 2009 and this is her third production, having previously played Bride in Blood Wedding and Rose in The Sea.  Her training includes a stint at Stella Adler in Los Angeles and RADA’s Acting Shakespeare programme, where she played Fluellen in Henry V.  She can also be seen in the DVD How to Audition by director Peter Oyston, performing as Goneril from King Lear

Elliott Bhana moved to London last year and this is his second play with the Tower Theatre. He's been doing drama for about 10 years starting at school where he gained an A level in Theatre Studies. His previous roles include: Everyman in the Summoning of Everyman, Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet, Huld and the Inspector in The Trial, Falkland in The Rivals, The Cripple and Jesus in Mistero Buffo.   His job doesn't relate to drama in any way which is why he's currently getting involved in it outside of work. At a tender age of 26 he has had few revelations to speak of, one he did however come across is as follows : Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit : Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad
As you can maybe tell, he does not have a particularly ingenious sense of humour, but I bet you're smiling a bit now aren't you? Just a little?

John Irvine has played Sir Charles Gill in Gross Indecency : The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde (SEDOS), General Strammfest in The Bolshevik Empress, performed scenes from Hedda Gabler and The Birthday Party with the Bubble & Squeak Collective and has taken part in rehearsed readings of new works by Mark Normandy, Greg Lofton and Paul McNeilly. Last summer he played several roles in You Me Bum Bum Train (the Barbican’s fastest selling show in 2010). Princess Ivona is John’s second production with the Tower Theatre, the first being The Trial last November, and his next production for the Tower is Macbeth. Having had small parts in short films involving zombies (Houseparty of The Dead 6) and werewolves (The Ritual), John hopes to win roles in the inevitable Vampire, Frankenstein and Alien Invasion movies. Or one film with all of the above.

Niki Mylonas Trained at Webber Douglas. Her roles have included Lady Macbeth (Tales of Witchcraft & the Supernatural), Anne Boleyn (Execution : The Hangman’s Noose), 2nd Witch (Macbeth), A Human Exhibit (Spellbound), Mistress Vixen (The Beggars Opera), Jessica (The Merchant of Venice), Sabina Fairweather (The Skin of our Teeth), Maria Marten (Maria Marten or Murder in the Red Barn), Bet (Oliver Twist). She has also performed on radio, in art films, video & advertisements. She sang in the 1960's girl band, The Coarsettes. Tower Theatre productions since 2009 include Nanny Ogg in Maskerade, Mother-in-Law in Blood Wedding, and Shakespeare’s Sonnets. Niki is an author of non-fiction.

Sophie Porter is delighted to be involved with the company again after her first production, The Changeling. She first began acting back home in Vienna and her first role was playing the Artful Dodger in the musical Oliver Twist. After moving to England and completing a degree in Film Production she went on to study professional makeup. After setting up her own business, she auditioned and was accepted into ALRA (The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts). After graduating, she married her lovely fiancée and has since been working both as a makeup artist, under her married name Sophie Stafford and as an actress under her maiden name Sophie Porter.

Ed O'Shaughnessy is into his second year with the Tower Theatre. It seems long distance days since completing courses with the City Academy in 2009, to now be acting in his fifth show, having been in Cigarettes and Chocolate, Julius Caesar and The Graduate during 2010, and Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll earlier this year.

Louisa Shindle has been a member of the Tower Theatre since January 2007. Her first performance involved being trapped in a cupboard in Taking Steps. She has also appeared in Hay Fever, The Sea and The Trial. Prior to joining the company, she acted with Stage Left, playing such diverse roles as a drunken male lecher, a glamorous nightclub singer, a Walrus and a dominatrix Evil Queen.

Christopher Yates has appeared in Tower Theatre productions at intervals since 1974. So far, he would like to be remembered, if at all, for his Mazzini Dunn (Heartbreak House) and Rev. Eli Jenkins et al. (Under Milk Wood). Auditioning for parts has become a major hobby of his retirement from paid work. He played most recently the Vicar in The Sea and Lodovico, Duke of Venice in the Veni Vidi Theatre Company's open-air production of Othello.

Josephine Timmins is thrilled to be back again at the Tower in this unusual role, and welcomes both the challenge of the character and the ease of learning the lines. Apart from her other appearance for the Tower, as chav Lottie and East European prostitute Dalia in Don Juan in Soho, theatre credits include multiple roles in A Christmas Carol at the Maximteatern, Stockholm, Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Liz Morden in Our Country's Good, Agave in The Bacchae and Angela in Abigail's Party, among others.

Sally Hepplewhite has been with the Tower Theatre Company since 1996. She has appeared as Bella in Lost in Yonkers, Miranda Frayle in Relative Values, Mrs Linde in A Doll's House, Miriam in Outside Edge and Goneril, Gertrude and Portia in A Shakespeare Miscellany. During a long gap away from the Tower she has become a keen comedy improviser and performer, unleashing her comedy character, Lady Ponsonby-Smythe on the unsuspecting public from time to time. She sometimes writes sketches and has recently started leading comedy improvisation workshops.

Finnian Nainby-Luxmoore attended Kings School Canterbury, where he studied Drama and Theatre Studies for 5 years. During that time he played numerous parts including Billy in The Rise and Fall of Little Voice and the title role in Dr. Faustus. Since leaving school, Finnian has worked with a number of different theatre companies such as The Arcola, Actors Touring Company, The Young Wolsey Theatre and The Tower Theatre and has perfomed in several plays, the most notable being Woyzeck. Recently Finnian has been auditioning for Drama Schools, in between his training, busy rehearsal schedule and occasional film projects. He is also currently in a production of Illyria being performed next month at the Arcola Theatre.

Seen most recently in The Vortex, Tom Tillery has been a Tower Theatre member since 1959. He has appeared in the London premières of works by Coward, Tennessee Williams and Vaclav Havel. His collection of theatre programmes is extensive.
