"What d'ya want on your bleedin' hamburgers?"

The primitive battle-cry of Dagenham or Romford, fouling the air with eruptions of deep loathing, frustration and hatred.

Steven Berkoff's lovely day out at the seaside is raw, savage, outrageous and very funny, as two couples on the sunny beach give full rein to their prejudices.

Contains ultra-strong language.

" ... a relentless, battering assault on the senses and the eardrums ... " (Peter McGarry)

Peta's directing credits include Blue Remembered Hills, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Brimstone and Treacle, Lysistrata and The Lieutenant of Inishmore.

Ruth Sullivan joined the Tower in 2007. Her first play as an actor saw her traipsing up and down imaginary stairs in Taking Steps, since when she has acted, choreographed and directed for the company, most recently directing Macbeth and The Maids. Other shows include Putting It Together, The Fabulous Eddie and Otis Soul Revue, Hamlet, The Real Thing, The Last Five Years and Lark Rise. She has also choreographed Hair and Assassins for SEDOS.

This will be Leon Chambers's second appearance at the Tower, the first being back in 1999 in Relative Values. He has acted with various theatre groups, most recently appearing as John Merrick in a production of The Elephent Man (for which he won the Best Debut award in the Kent Drama Awards.) Leon has spent his career working as a sound engineer on radio drama and more recently as an audio producer and film director. His short films have played at festivals all over the world and won a number awards. See thirdlightfilms.co.uk for more details.

Jacob Trenerry's theatre credits include Cold Comfort Farm, The Insect Play and Twelfth Night for Chesil Theatre; Much Ado About Nothing at the Barons Court Theatre; Mojo, Don Juan in Soho and The Vortex for the Tower Theatre; A Morning With Guy Burgess at the Courtyard Theatre; Pandora's Boxes at the Rosemary Branch; and Count Oederland at the Arcola Theatre.

This is Maria Waters's third show with the Tower & she is delighted to be doing her first play with the company, having previously performed in Putting it Together in 2008, where she worked with Ruth Sullivan, and The Fabulous Eddie & Otis Soul Revue in 2009, where she met Peta Barker. She was lucky to work with both of them again when she went on to direct Assassins with SEDOS last year. She is looking forward to playing the Blues Singer in The Trials and Tribulations of a Trailer Trash Housewife in April & then she is appearing in Spring Awakening with SEDOS in May. She is slightly concerned how she is going to cram it all in because by day, she is a full time GP! Other credits include Mrs Lovett in Sweeney Todd, Belle in My Favorite Year, Mrs Phagan in Parade and the Nurse in Romeo and Juliet, all with SEDOS. She has also taken leading roles with other companies in Abigail's Party, Lady Windermere's Fan, Blood Brothers, Into the Woods and Follies.

This is Chris Purcell's first Tower show having previously worked with SEDOS and several companies in Melbourne, Australia. Recent roles include Berger in Hair, Luther Rosser in Parade, The College Boy in Hello Again, Riff in West Side Story, Bill in Me and My Girl, Kenickie in Grease, Rooster in Annie and Simon in The Caucasian Chalk Circle.
