Why are we staging productions at both Theatro Technis and the Bridewell? And what about going back to Upstairs at the Gatehouse?

The Bridewell offers a well-equipped quasi-permanent home at a very reasonable cost. However, due to uncertainty about the possible refurbishment of the venue (now put off until 2012), the Bridewell wasn't in a position to give us all the weeks we require during our 2007/8 seasons. As a result, we have bookings at both the Bridewell and Theatro Technis in order to stage a full programme of Tower productions. Management policy at Upstairs at the Gatehouse is to opt for two or three-week runs at a time and their costs are now geared more to professional bookings. Nevertheless, although there are currently no suitable dates available for us at 'The Gatehouse', we continue to investigate the use of alternative venues (see also the answer to the next question).

What are the arrangements with the Bridewell and Theatro Technis regarding future theatre bookings?

As mentioned above, we have dates booked at both the Bridewell and TT for 2008, so that we can continue to present a full schedule of Tower productions. We are in discussion with both venues to ensure that suitable bookings are made into 2009, which will enable the Tower to continue to offer a full and varied programme.
