A collection of poems, monologues and short plays curated by Landé Belo, presenting different voices from around the world, examining what it means to be “black” today, and questioning when black lives and black futures will finally matter. Directed by Landé Belo and Lyla Smith-Abass.

14:00 Beads of Life
Led by Angharad Ormond and Sarah Relton, this narrative therapy workshop explores our life stories through  the medium of beads and enables reflection of the strengths and challenges that have been  experienced over the past year.

Freely adapted from Xavier de Maistre’s Voyage autour de ma chambre (1794), by Petra Freimund, Mandy Gordon, Ian Hoare and Simona Hughes.
What to do when you’re a housebound travel writer? Explore your room, perhaps? But who knows where that might lead? Our 21st-Century version of an 18th-Century humorous classic investigates the possibilities

The Poetry Project is a unique collaboration incorporating both performance poetry, music, movement and projected images with the ensemble traversing landscapes and themes of time collapsing, memory, loneliness, entrapment, longing, survival, hope, love, desire, nature, humour, beauty, healing and coming together to reflect our stories through poetry and music.

Throughout the festival, our Visual Arts exhibition will be displayed in the Tuerk rehearsal room, the Smith Studio, Rehearsal Room 3, the Meeting Room and in the bar and corridors of the theatre. We invite you to buy a drink and take your time viewing the incredible artworks presented here, from stunning photography, paintings and crafts which have been the saving of our collective sanity during lockdown.
