For those members interested in playwriting
Writers’ Room co-ordinator:

The Tower Theatre Writers’ Room is an opportunity to explore playwriting and experiment with ideas within a group of like-minded supportive writers. It is open to Tower Members and Friends of the Tower. Participants range from those new to playwriting, to people who have had plays performed at readings and some who have had work produced independently.
We generally hold our sessions at the Tower Theatre on the second Monday of the month from 7pm – 9pm (occasionally these drift depending on holidays etc.).
There will be fun and challenging writing assignments for you to do between monthly sessions and we share and discuss these amongst ourselves during the meeting.
Although most sessions are based around the writing assignments, we also arrange for visits from guest facilitators and theatre professionals who may set work or do some live in-session writing with us.
We keep the group small so that we don’t get too overwhelmed, and everyone gets individual support and feedback during our meetings.
Unfortunately, Writers’ Room is full for the May 2024 – April 2025 sessions. However, if you are interested in joining please contact us at [email protected] confirming your membership number or with a copy of your membership confirmation and we’ll put you on the waiting list and email you as soon as a place becomes available.
Please Note that Writers’ Room is only open to Friends of the Tower and Company members.
