This charming and delightful play by the author of The Dresser is by turns tender and hilarious.
It concerns three elderly opera singers in a retirement home for musicians who are joined by a former colleague with the
inevitable revival of old tensions and reminiscences. When they are invited to perform
at the home's annual Verdi Birthday Gala, one of them refuses to sing. However, the show must go
on ... The play celebrates the ageing process, the power of music, and the camaraderie
of the theatre.
