“A little travellin’ music, Professor, if you please…“
When three people seeking an adventure come to the rescue of a troubled travelling Concert Party, their lives are transformed. Together, the group navigates setbacks, romance and surprises on the road to London, proving that when talent, friendship and determination unite, extraordinary things can happen.
Priestley’s wonderfully moving and humorous tale of intertwined lives has captured many hearts since it was first published in 1929. Many play and film adaptations have since recreated the Concert Party spirit of the late 1920s, but this 1974 musical version, which originally starred Judi Dench and John Mills, is perhaps the most successful.
