The matinée audience of Mules was treated to an exclusive Q&A session with award winning playwright, Winsome Pinnock, who shared with us the inspiration behind the play and talked about her research into the experiences of women in prison in Jamaica and the UK and the creative writing workshops she runs in prisons.
Although written to be performed in women’s prisons and community centres, Mules has been regularly performed in theatres all around the world and touches on issues that are still as relevant today as they were in the 90s when the play was written. Ms Pinnock loved our production and was delighted to take photos with the cast and crew. She also tweeted “It was brilliant. Congratulations to you all.”
