It is ideal for people who feel more at ease knowing they can go in and out of the auditorium during the show. Melissa UrenHailing from New Zealand, Melissa Uren previously had no idea what being in a pantomime was all about. Her theatre experience stems from various plays including Sunrise (Lee), Contractions (Emma), and Agnes of God (Agnes), Shakespeare with SGCNZ including Julius Caesar (Portia) in the Young Shakespeare Company at Shakespeare’s Globe, Henry VI (Queen Margaret), and The Merchant of Venice (Shylock), as well musicals including The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals (Emma), Les Miserables (Fantine), and Twisted (The Sultan). She loves comedy and is excited that Rapunzel is her first Tower Theatre performance!
Arthur PooleArthur Poole discovered his passion for theatre while studying at the University of Bath, where he joined the Drama Society and enjoyed it so much that he performed in every production available, from Macbeth to Alice in Wonderland. When moving to London in 2022, Arthur was keen to continue participating in amateur dramatics and joined the Tower Theatre. For the Tower, he has appeared in Pal Joey (2023) and Shakespeare in Love (2025). Arthur is immensely excited to bring big Princely energy to this production for a great big old panto time.
Dom WardDom Ward trained at Mountview Academy and has been with the Tower since he was press-ganged into a production of The Entertainer in 2001. Having briefly cornered the market in musical romantic leads with roles in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, The Hot Mikado and Guys and Dolls, he strayed into ‘serious’ drama, including Stanley in The Birthday Party, Carr in Travesties and David in After the Dance (twice). Dom has also directed a number of acclaimed productions for the Tower, most recently this year’s 5-star revival of Flare Path.
Federica BonomiFederica Bonomi brings over 15 years of experience in amateur theatre in Italy, where she performed in productions such as The Canterville Ghost, Love Labour’s Lost and many more. After moving to London (and proudly obtaining her ‘britizenship’), she trained in acting and musical theatre and completed a two-year acting diploma with IDSA.! After appearing in the chorus of The Chimes (2024), Federica returns for her second show with the Tower, thrilled to take on the role of the ‘baddie’ and having a blast with an incredible cast and production team.
Sean McMullanSean McMullan has been with the Tower for over a decade, previously appearing in The Producers, Travesties, Chancers, Charley’s Aunt, An Enemy of the People, Improbable Fiction, The Fan and, most recently, the Suffolk run of Shakespeare in Love. Previous roles elsewhere include Sidney in Deathtrap, Scapino in Scapino, Charlie Brown in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown and various personages in Happy as a Sandbag. This is, however, his first ever panto (though he always had the plan to) … Sean also plays trumpet, mainly for the Big Swing Band.
Louisa ShindleLouisa Shindle joined the Tower Theatre in 2007. Her acting and singing credits include The Railway King, Under Milk Wood, Blithe Spirit, Harvey, Sherlock Holmes, Princess Ivona, Terrorism, The Trial, The Sea, Hay Fever and Taking Steps (Tower Theatre), Gormenghast and The Crucible (SEDOS) and The Magic Flute and The Marriage of Figaro (Harrow Opera). She is very much looking forward to playing Councillor Snort in Rapunzel and keeping the citizens of Stokeyville in line via a combination of iron will, vital municipal services and silly dancing.
Paul KristovicPaul Kristovic is originally from Bradford in West Yorkshire. He comes from an artistic background and has a First class Honors Degree in Fine Art. Paul is a stand up comedian and can often be seen at some of London’s finest comedy clubs attempting to make the audience laugh at his absurdist humour. This is Paul’s second performance at the Tower Theatre, having previously played JMW Turner in Rockets And Blue Lights.
Julie JoubertJulie Joubert is a performer and writer who specialises in physical theatre and clown. She has trained at the Cours Cochet in Paris as well as with Barbara Houseman and John Wright in London. Julie’s work as a performer is at the intersection of ensemble work, clown and bouffon. She has previously appeared in several Tower productions: The Fan and The Chimes (both 2024), a gender-swapped open-air production of Much Ado about Nothing (2024), the 2025 Tower production of Moby Dick at the Minack Theatre. More recently, she appeared in Trussed Exercise, a showcase production by the Missing Theatre. She is very excited to be playing another grumpy old man in this fabulously silly production!
Nicole BröhlNicole Bröhl is a London based actor/ writer from Cologne, Germany. As a recent graduate from East 15’s MFA Acting International programme, she found her passions stretching from intimate storytelling centred around human flaws and (dis-)connection to laugh-out-loud comedies, farces, pantos and everything in-between. Recent credits include Ubu Cocu at the Omnibus Upstairs, KORE at the Camden Fringe (The Cockpit Theatre); Far Between Theatre’s Richard II adaptation inspired by HBO’s Succession (Golden Goose Theatre & Wanstead Fringe). As a new member, Rapunzel is her first collaboration with the Tower Theatre and she can’t wait to bring the house down alongside her wonderful cast-members this coming December.
Sarah AfriyieRapunzel marks Sarah Afriyie‘s debut with the Tower Theatre. Sarah has always loved and been involved in the performing arts since childhood, but after some time away she has recently come back to the world of acting and is excited to grow through the arts.
Dixi TaylorDixi Taylor joined the Tower Theatre earlier this year, and this is her first performance with the company. She was very involved with theatre throughout school and university and performed in shows such as The Little Shop of Horrors, Oklahoma and Guys and Dolls. This is her first panto, and also her first time dancing to Lady Gaga in a Beetle costume.
Stephanie ThomsonThis marks Stephanie Thomson‘s fourth production at the Tower Theatre, where her stage journey began in 2022 as Russia Sonia in Passing the Spoon. Since then, she’s brought a diverse range of characters to life in A Dream Play, and in her most recent performance played Fenella in The Worst Witch, which reignited her passion as a trained dancer. Stephanie is excited to continue her journey with the Tower and is very much looking forward to performing her best Caterpillar moves in Rapunzel.
Tom LaffertyTom Lafferty is an actor, director and performance artist, having studied the latter at Queen Mary University of London. This will be his third Tower production, previously appearing in Crime and Punishment (2024) and performing at the Minack Theatre with Moby Dick earlier this year. Outside of Tower, Tom is an Edinburgh Fringe regular and recently tried his hand at Immersive performance with a six-month run playing TV comedian Alex Horne in Taskmaster: The Live Experience.
Sorrel BrownSorrel Brown trained in Musical Theatre Performance at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She has been an avid member of London’s amateur theatre community since 2022 and has previously directed large scale musicals for Durham University and fellow London company SEDOS. For the Tower Theatre, she has appeared as Lady Blarney/Assistant Musical Director in The Chimes (2024) and was Assistant Director on Tower’s smash-hit production of Flare Path earlier this year. Sorrel has professional experience as a children’s theatre actor after performing in several pantomimes as a student – oh yes she did! – and she is immensely excited to be bringing panto back to the Tower this Christmas.
