The Tower’s Summer Season

Artistic Director Amanda Waggott has announced the six plays planned for next summer. As well as the usual programme at our London base, we are delighted to announce that the Tower will be returning to the Minack Theatre in Cornwall next year, celebrating our 29th production at this famous and breathtaking cliffside theatre.

We shall be presenting:

Wednesday 30 April – Saturday 10 May
Flare Path, by Terrence Rattigan. Directed by Luke Owen.

Wednesday 14 – Saturday 24 May
The Children, by Lucy Kirkwood. Directed by Jonathan Reed.

Wednesday 4 – Saturday 14 June
Staying Alive by Kat Roberts. Directed by Olivia Chakraborty.

Wednesday 18 – Saturday 28 June
Rockets and Blue Lights by Winsome Pinnock. Directed by Landé Belo.

Tuesday 1 – Sunday 6 July
Moby Dick devised by the Tower Theatre Company. Directed by Angharad Ormond.

We will be presenting a brand new adaptation of Melville’s classic novel, adapted for the stage by Angharad Ormond and Paul Graves. This version will explore themes of masculinity, racism, PTSD and environmentalism, bringing Moby Dick to life through original live music, puppetry and physical theatre.

Moby Dick will start its journey in London, performing at the Tower Theatre in early July, followed by a run at the Brighton Open-Air Theatre (23 – 26 July) before departing for Cornwall with performances from 25 – 28 August.
